Map of Fiji

Map of Fiji with surrounding areas. - Landkarte von Fidschi. - Mapa de Fiji. - Carte de Fidji.

The capital of Fiji is Suva on the island of Viti Levu, which is also the biggest city of the island republic. Flights to Fiji usually go to Suva. Important other towns are Lautoka (on Viti Levu) and Labasa (on the island of Vanua Levu). The Pacific island republic consists of many islands around the two main islands of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. Far in the north there is another island group Rotum belonging to Fiji. The next islands in the west belong to Vanuatu, in the east to Tonga, in the northeast to France and Samoa, and in the north to Tuvalu. More than 1000 km southwards is located New Zealand.
The official languages of Fiji are Fijian, English and Hindustani. Fijian is written like English in the Latin script, while for Hindustani there are two scripts available: Arabic and Devanagari, the script with which also Hindi is written. In our map we have indicated all three spellings of the counry name Fiji and of the name of the capital, Suva.
Tourism is of extremely high importance in Fiji. It is one of the most important destinations for tourists in the Southern Seas. We would appreciate more detailed information, also about tourism, sea voyages, diving, flights, or individual tours to these beautiful islands.

This is our Map of the World with original scripts (original size 70 x 100 cm), from which the detailed map shown above has been cut out. The numbers of city inhabitants and vegetational zones were researched by hand for every country, by using the sources listed below. This procedure prevented the map from containing traditional errors provoked by simply copying such information from previous maps.

The map can be ordered for 11.50 Euros (+ postage and packing) at
