areas. - Landkarte von Australien (Südwest).
- Mapa de Australia (suroeste). - Carte d'Australie (sud-ouest).
Australia's capital is Canberra, the biggest cities are Sydney and Melbourne. Flights to Australia usually go to Sydney.
Australia is one of the largest countries of the world. Because the names of the localities in our map would not be readable, we subdivided the maps and present several pages for Australia - for the other maps please click in the list of countries below.
In Australia's southwest, as can be seeen in our map, is located the southern part of Western Australia. The Great Victoria Desert and the Nullarbor Plain mark the border to South Australia. The biggest city in this region is by far Perth at the western coast. The other towns are small: Camarvon, Denham, Kalbarri, Geraldton, Meekatharra, Wiluna, Mt. Magnet, Mullewa, Dongara, Leonora, Moora, Merredin, Coolgardie, Kalgoorlie, Norseman, Esperance, Albany, Katanning, Narrogin, Bunbury, Madurah and Northam.
The official language of Australia is English. Next to English, many other languages are spoken. Among these is a variety of native languages of the aborigines, however none of these has official status in any region.
Tourism is locally of high importance in Australia. We would appreciate more detailed information, also about tourism, sea voyages, beach holidays, flights, or individual tours to Australia.
